The Passing of a Pope

Pope John Paul II was undoubtedly a great man, and on many of the central issues of the modern day, such as truth against postmodernism and morality, very much on the side of the evangelical. However, he held a position that evangelicals (at least traditionally!) cannot find to be biblical, and more worrying, he had an extra-biblical devotion to Mary and held strongly to the Catholic teachings on salvation that brought about the Reformation.
